Volunteers Needed to help with weekly cleaning of the church. If you would like to participate in this endeavor there is a signup sheet in the hallway.  Otherwise please contact the church office at 402-371-0814. Your participation will be greatly appreciated.

The Board of Trustees 

The Tuesday evening ladies bible study is held Tuesdays at 6:30 pm.  Everyone is welcome to join.

The installation of new and returning church officers will take place during the worship service on January 4, 2026 at 10:30 AM.

Bible Class is held every Sunday at 9:15 am in the conference room. Everyone is welcome to join.

Minutes of the Ladies Aid meetings will be available in the back of the church by the mail boxes. 

PACK THE GYM

Mark your calendars! Students PK-8 are invited to get in FREE to the basketball games at LHNE! Come support the Eagles basketball teams as they take on Wakefield on January 6th, starting at 4:30. There will be mini-games in the commons during the varsity games.

EAGLE FUN DAY 2026 LHNE will be hosting Eagle Fun Day on Friday, January 16th, from 9:00 AM-12:30 PM. This event is for grades 6-8. All students in the community are invited to come for an exciting day of classroom events, games, and pizza. Everyone is welcome! If you have a student who would like to come and experience LHNE, please call the office (402-379-3040) to register for the event! We hope to see you there!

BOOSTER CLUB TRIVIA NIGHT Get your brainy team of 8 together and dress as your favorite decade! A prize will be given for the best-dressed table! Dressing up is optional, but highly encouraged! Registration and social hour start at 5:30 with trivia beginning at 6:30. There will be food, music, drinks, snacks, and fun! REGISTRATION FILLS UP FAST! Register at http://bidpal.net/lhnetrivia2026

UPCOMING EVENTS –

Remember to call the church office if you are hospitalized or having surgery so Pastor can visit you.  Your or a family memeber must contact us.  Faith Regional is not able to contact each of the local churches about their members being hospitalized.  Also, hearing about your hospitilization from others and not from you or family, makes it hard for Pastor to visit due to HIPPA restrictions.

Mailboxes for each member family of Mt. Olive are now in use.  The mailboxes will have newsletters and other church related information placed into them.  You will be able to access them any time you are at church.  Newsletters will only be mailed out to those who are shut-ins.  All other memebers will have newsletters and information put into their mailboxes.

One of the priviledges of being a Christian is to pray.  You are welcome to participate in the Mt. Olive Prayer Chain.  If you would like to participate, please contact Tim Kirschner and/or Rita Foxhoven, and/or the church office.  Please remember, in order maintain HIPPA requirements, only immediate family members of the individual being prayed for will be permitted to initiate a prayer chain request.

Offerings will still be gathered in the back of the church as you enter or leave.  They may be placed in the wooden Mt. Olive cart.  We continue encouraging members to give to the Lord and the church through automatic bank draft, mailing in your give, or dropping off your offerings at the office.

There are from time to time special financial needs of members of our congregation, especially during this time of year.  If you would be interested in being an "Angel" to these members who are in need, please designate a gift in your offering to the "The Angel Fund."  Those who are in need are held in strict confidence.  The Elders will facilitate the gifts of the "Angels" and those members in need of these blessings.  Thank you for considering blessing those in our congregation who may be experiencing a difficulty.

Mt. Olive Members please remember that when you change your address, change your marital status, change phone numbers, or change anything about yourself you need to contact the church office.  Please take the time to call the church office when the above things happen so we may have the correct information in your record.

Care for God's earth by recycling at Lutheran High Northeast.  There will be paper recycling bags at the school available for you to pick up.  Fill the bags with recycled paper and return to the Green Fiber bins at the school.

Keep buying Scrip to help support LHNE!  Remember, LHNE as Scrip for groceries, gas, prescriptions, clothing, dining out, home improvements, etc.  It's exciting to see Scrip working for LHNE and their families.  Remember to buy Scrip weekdays at Lutheran High Northeast, 2010 N 37th, 7:45AM - 3:30PM or at the back of the church here at Mount Olive after worship services.
